World Book Day 2026

At Iver Village Infant Academy – we love reading!!

This means that World Book Day is one of our favourite days of the year when all our children – and the big kids too – get to show us what their favourite book or character is by dressing up and expressing themselves.

So the school was invaded by princesses, pirates, cowboys, wizards, witches, tigers who like tea, brave heroes and heroines and even a few villains too!

World Book Day is not just about last minute searches for costumes though – reading opens so many doors for all our children. That is why we do phonics every day and why we are so proud of how well our children are doing. Our phonics
