Our School Day

The school day starts at 8.50am (school gate opens at 8.35am) and finishes at 3.20pm. (school gate opens at 3.15pm)

A typical day at Iver Village Infant Academy

The sample timetable below is a general breakdown of the school day. Each class and Key Stage has a slightly different timetable according to their individual requirements.

8.35am    - School gate opens

8.50am    - School gate closes

9.00am    -Reading

9.15am    - Phonics

9.55am  -  English

10.45am  - Break

11.00am  - Maths

12.00pm  - Lunch

1.00pm    - Registration and Basic Skills

1.15pm    - Foundation Subject

2.00pm    - Foundation Subject

2.50pm    - Story/Assembly

3.15pm - School gate opens

3.20pm    - End of school day

3.30pm -  School gate closes

Wrap Around Care

8.00am to 8.30am: Sunrise Club

3.20pm to 4pm: Sunset Sports Activity Club

3.20pm to 5.30pm: Sunset Club

Assemblies

Monday	Whole school assembly with a focus on values, diversity and community
Tuesday	Singing assembly
Wednesday	Safeguarding assembly with a focus on how to keep safe and healthy
Thursday - At the start and end of each half term	An assembly to share our school values of Caring, Learning, Growing
Friday	A chance for the whole school to come together and celebrate all that is good in the life of the school. Each class teacher nominates a child for an award for achievement in any area of school life. In addition, opportunities are taken to share children’s achievements outside of school and monitor  attendance..
