Our school day

The school day starts at 8.55am (school gate opens at 8.45am) and finishes at 3.00pm.

The timetable below is a general breakdown of the school day. Each class and Key Stage has a slightly different timetable according to their individual requirements.

8.45am    - School gate opens

8.55am    - School gate closes

9.00am    - Phonics 

9.40am    - Session 1

10.30am  -  Assembly

10.45am  - Break

11.00am  - Session 2

12.00pm  - Lunch

1.00pm    - Registration and Session 3

1.20pm    - Session 4

2.00pm    - Session 5

2.45pm    - Story

3.00pm    - End of school day

Wrap Around Care

7.30am to 8.30am: Sunrise Club

8.30am to 8.55am: Wake Up Shake Up

3pm to 4pm: Sunset Sports Activity Club

3pm to 5.30pm: Sunset Club

Assemblies

There is an Assembly each day. 

This has a different focus each day and includes an act of reflection. 

Monday A chance for the KS1 to come together and focus on our value or special events.    
Tuesday Open book assembly
Wednesday  Singing assembly
Thursday Class assembly. An opportunity for KS1 to reflect on the foci of Monday’s assembly.             
Friday  A chance for the whole school to come together and celebrate all that is good in the life of the school. Each class teacher presents a  WOW  award for achievement in any area of school life as well as an award that reflects the week's focus.  In addition, opportunities are taken to share children’s achievements outside of school.
