Iver Village

Equality and Diversity

The staff and Governors at Iver Village Infant School have an unwavering commitment to the success of every pupil. The purpose of Iver Village Infant School’s equality statement is to show how the school promotes equality of opportunity for and between diverse members of the school community. Iver Village Infant School welcomes its duties under the Equality Act 2010. We are committed to advancing equality of opportunity for all and tackling and eliminating discrimination. We seek to promote harmonious relationships in all areas of school life and promote positive relationships with all stakeholders and the wider community. We recognise the need to provide an environment where everyone is valued and mutual respect is fostered.

In accordance with our Equality and Diversity Policy we, at Iver Village Infant School, do not discriminate against any individual on grounds of gender, transgender, race, disability, age, pregnancy, sexual orientation, background or religious belief.

At Iver Village Infant School we work hard to ensure that the quality of the educational provision we deliver is closely matched to the needs of every child.

The school layout has been designed so that all children and adults can access the school building safely.

We are proud to be part of the village community and we will continue to support village events and involve the village community in activities we undertake throughout the year.

This statement underpins all other school policies and documents.
